1. RULES

2.1 Boats may be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the organizing authority.
3. ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
3.1 The championship is open to all boats of the Laser Standard, Laser Radial and Laser 4.7 classes,
which should be in good standing with ILCA for 2010.
3.2 Eligible boats may enter by completing the attached form and sending it, together with the required
fee (items 3.3 and 4.1) to

7. VENUE
7.1 The event will be held at the Iate Clube de Santa Catarina – Veleiros da Ilha (ICSC) located at
Jurerê Beach, 20 miles north of Florianópolis City center (Latitude: 27

8. THE COURSES
8.1 Sailing courses will be Trapezoid or Windward/Leeward as described in the sailing instructions.
9. PENALTY SYSTEM
9.1 Appendix P will apply.
9.2 Decisions of the jury will be final as provided in rule 70.5.

10. SCORING
10.1 Four races are required to be completed to constitute a series.
10.2 (a) When fewer than five races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her
race scores.
(b) When from five to eight races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her
race scores excluding her worst score.
(c) When nine of more races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race
scores excluding her two worst scores.
11. SUPPORT BOATS
11.1 Team leaders and coaches shall register their boats filling a form at the event’s secretary without any
fee. The time is the same as registration for their class.
12. BERTHING
12.1 Boats shall be kept in their assigned places in the boat’s park area of ICSC at the Jurerê beach.

14.1 Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4, Decision to Race. The

16. PARKING
16.1 A very limited number of parking spaces will be available at the ICSC parking lot. A paid parking lot
dedicated to cars, vans, trailers, trucks or other hauling equipments will be available in a walking
distance to the ICSC. Both parking spaces will be offered in a first come first serve basis.
